Increasing average semester credit hours at Texas A&M University-San Antonio
Learn how Ad Astra helped Dr. Duane Williams, Associate Vice Provost for Student Success & Retention, Texas A&M-San Antonio, create a transformative experience for its students. The Ad Astra Benchmark report assisted the institution in exploring why its students were taking 6 or 6.5 years to graduate, ultimately finding associations between lower credit hour completion and reduced likelihood of graduation.
Making 15 credit hours the norm resulted in a 130% increase in semester credit hour completions and 134% increase in students taking 15+ credit hours at the institution.
