Founded in 2004, Excelencia in Education accelerates Latino student success in higher education to address the U.S. economy's need for a highly educated workforce and for civic leadership. Excelencia does this by providing data-driven analysis of the educational status of Latinos; promoting education policies and institutional practices that support their academic achievement; and organizing a network of professionals with a common goal of Latino student success. Cyizere Girls Scholarship Fund, Faith Missions

Faith Missions works to transform the lives of young Rwandan women through the Cyizere Girls Scholarship Fund, offering educational opportunities that empower women to utilize their inherent gifts and talents and build successful careers. Learn more>>

Hispanic Development FUND logo

Hispanic Development Fund

The mission of the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Development Fund is to improve the quality of life of Latino families in KC by engaging the Latino community in philanthropy to build stronger communities through grant-making and scholarship support. HDF set out to remove the financial barriers to college as well as to advise students and families in the college-going process. In 2022, in partnership with local and regional higher education institutions, HDF awarded over $900,000 in scholarships to 416 students. Learn more>>

KC Scholars was designed to create individual impact and to positively influence the Kansas City region's economy and workforce. Through scholarships, financial incentives to promote college savings, and academic support services, KC Scholars helps low- and modest-income students and adults pursue and complete postsecondary credit-bearing credentials or degrees. Valor Partners Foundation

Dedicated to building strategic partnerships that provide hope and opportunity to military and veteran families, Valor Partners is proud to have awarded approximately 1,700 scholarships to date in collaboration with our partner schools for the too-often unsung heroes of our military--the spouses and children. Guided by the core values of Honor, Educate, and Innovate, Valor Partners provides financial aid for dependents of 100% disabled and deceased veterans at 57 colleges, universities, and technical schools in 13 states. Friends of San Lucas supports development in San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala.
